Welcome
I am a contemporary artist drawn to the surreal, the exotic and the macabre. I have long been fascinated by the way art can challenge perceptions and evoke emotion to take us away from the familiar whilst still feeling safe.
About me
Artists such as Salvador Dalí and Lucian Freud have helped shape my appreciation for art. Working primarily with oils on large-scale canvases, alongside acrylics, I explore subjects that capture the imagination.
My connection with art began through my father, who was an artist himself. His creativity and vision influenced me from an early age and helped shape the way I see the world. EricaZart Studio is a personal tribute to him, carrying forward that connection through my own creativity, imagination and artistic expression.
In my early 20s, my artistic journey then took me to London. I painted and exhibited on the South Bank and at the Barbican and was also shortlisted for the prestigious Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Since then, my work has featured in exhibitions and venues across the UK, including the NEC Birmingham and selected locations throughout Yorkshire and Wales.
Alongside my artistic practice, I am very proud to have had the opportunity to work with The King's Trust (formerly The Prince's Trust) on several occasions; supporting charitable fundraising through the sale of my paintings. I will be supporting the charity again in 2027.
Through EricaZart Studio, I continue to explore the subjects that intrigue me and create paintings that I hope will resonate with others long after they have encountered them.
